Notice is hereby given that Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as inserted by Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation (Special Events) Act 1994, as amended, intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce the following temporary traffic restrictions as detailed in the Schedules below. The Order will be made to facilitate multiple events in Crewkerne during 2026 and is in the interest of public safety. The Order shall come into operation on the dates and times as specified in the Schedules below. The restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary. The order becomes effective on 06th May 2026 and will remain in force for eighteen months.
The works are expected to commence on 11th May 2026 and last for 10 evenings to enable Heidelberg to carry out prep and resurfacing works on behalf of Somerset Highways.
